Stuart Broad scripted India's collapse on Saturday with a hat-trick as India lost their last six wickets in the space of 21 runs to let England come back on Day 2 of the second Test at Trent Bridge.

Broad took the first hat-trick at his home ground, removing MS Dhoni, Harbhajan Singh and Praveen Kumar, as India went from 267 for 4 to 288 all out. Broad's lethal spell read 5.1-2-5-5

India seamer Praveen Kumar was fined 20 percent of his match fee for dissent at an umpire's decision during the first day of the second Test against England at Trent Bridge here on Friday. Kumar, who pleaded guilty at a post-play hearing, couldn't hide his frustration after an lbw appeal against England's Kevin Pietersen was turned down by South African umpire Marais Erasmus in the 18th over.

Rahul Dravid on Friday became the only player other than a pure wicketkeeper to complete 400 international catches when he caught England’s Matt Prior during the first day's play of the second Test between England and India at Trent Bridge.

India won the toss and chose to field first in the second test against England

Nottingham, July 28: India were left grappling with injury worries ahead of the crucial second cricket Test against England with pace spearhead Zaheer Khan being ruled out and opener Gautam Gambhir also not making the cut.

England have called up Middlesex seamer Steven Finn as bowling cover for the second npower Test against India at Trent Bridge.

If Zaheer Khan missing the training session at the Trent Bridge on Wednesday is any indication, then it's more or less certain that India will be without the services of their premier pace bowler in the second Test. And instead of raking over the coals of what went wrong at Lord's or what possibly could have happened had the 32-year-old not pulled his hamstring on the first morning of the Test, it's time to lay down plans and find out the possible replacement for the fast bowler.
